According to new statistics from the unofficial Facebook blog, the Facebook like-button is clicked on about 65 milion times every day. Except from the 20 million users that interacts with Facebook for iPhone, this is currently the most active interaction on Facebook.

The “Like”-button Increase web traffic from Facebook to blogs with 50 %

In May TypePad launched a “like”-widget that users can put to their blogs. About 1500 users that installed the “Like”-button on their blogs received increased web traffic with 50 %. Shortly after an extended feature was launched where the “like”-button could be placed right under each post. Today about 2500 TypePad blogs have installed the button, which have increased their web traffic from Facebook with about 200 %.

A company concentrated in social media marketing made a research towards 4000 Facebook users who have “liked” one of the 20 biggest brands that are present at Facebook. The research ended up in the conclusion that the ones who like a brand on Facebook, spends about $71.84 more on the brands products or services per year than the ones who do not like the brand on Facebook.
