Social communities and online games dominates U.S. Internet time

Americans spend almost a quarter of their time online on social networks and blogs. The time spent have increased by 43% since last year. A third of the time is spent on communication on social networks, blogs, email and instant messaging.

The Mood of the United States

A group of researchers from Northeastern University and Harvard University have gathered enough data from Twitter to give us all a snapshot of how we Americans feel throughout a typical day or week. It will surprise almost no one to learn that findings indicate a general mood slump mid-day and mid-week, when we are most likely to be at work. Our tweets show that we’re happiest in the early morning and late evening; during the week, our mood tends to peak on Sunday morning.

Revolutionen sociala medier

Socialnomicsförfattaren, Erik Qualman har nu kommit med en uppdaterad version av förra årets succévideo Sociala medier-statistik och mycket har hänt det senaste året. Några siffror är helt nya, andra känner vi igen. En av uppdateringarna är att Facebook har passerat USA i tabellen sett till antalet invånare och ligger nu endast snäppet efter Kina och Indien. Socialnomicsförfattaren, Erik Qualman has released an updated version of last year’s hit video, social media, statistics and a lot has happened the past year. Some figures are brand new, others we are familiar with. One of the updates is that Facebook is now bigger than the U.S. in terms of number of inhabitants, and is now only just a bit after China and India.
