YouTube becomes NewTube
Here at womnewsletter.com, we’re not just fans of social media solutions, but also of initiatives promoting democracy, debate and freedom of speech. Luckily enough for us, YouTube is launching a feature that encompasses both of these! YouTube Town Hall matches members of the American Congress for debates on all kinds of topics, ranging from international issues such as the US involvement in conflict abroad to national healthcare.

Although we’re still waiting for a similar initiative to hit Europe, we encourage you to take a look at the US debates here.
Levi’s acts in secret – a viral success
Have you seen the video with the two girls that in secret records men checking out the behinds? In about a week the video have received more than 6 million views on YouTube.
2010’s top 3 viral videos
The world’s biggest video portal continues to grow. During 2010 users uploaded more than 13 million hours of video content, which resulted in more than 700 billions video views.
In March 2010 YouTube announced that 24 hours of video material is uploaded every minute and in May the 2 billion mark were passed in terms of number of video views per day.
YouTube reward partner channels
During 2010 more than 15 000 partner agreements have been signed on YouTube – partners that have upload million of video minutes every day.

Manligt ideal blir viral
Det ikoniska amerikanska varumärket Old Spice, som gör grooming-produkter för män, har länge varit välkända för sina reklamserier som upplyfter och samtidigt gör parodi på det manliga idealet. Nu är det återigen dags för det långlivade företaget att släppa en serie med uppmärksammade videoklipp som redan börjar sprida sig viralt över Internet.
